Helmut Marko is now explaining the decision in his “Speedweek” column. “The races are coming up on the tracks where he was good last year, we are counting on consistency,” says Marko. “He has shown good performances repeatedly in the interval. Perez does not need to be faster, he needs to be more consistent,” emphasizes the 81-year-old driver from Graz. “Considering the alternatives, he is still our best solution.”
