Rob Gray scores Elam Ending winning goal to send Forever Coogs to TBT final

Rob Gray was as good as anyone in this year’s version of The Basketball Tournament. Former player Houston The Cougar standout player had the ball in the TBT championship game.

Leading 74-76 with a target score of 78 in the Elam Ending, Gray passed his defender, drove to his left, stopped and hit the winning shot, sending Forever Coogs to the TBT final match.

Gray converted 6 of 13 shots from the field to score 18 points and dish out 3 assists to lead his team to a thrilling victory that brought him one step closer to the $1 million prize.

Here are the best plays from the Forever Coogs’ semifinal win over the Eberlein Drive:

Trailing 5-3 early in the game, Melvin Frazier Jr. made a big block and the Forever Coogs went wide. Gray led the break and found former Houston Cougar Justin Goram, who scored with some power.

With a narrow lead late in the first half, Gray and Tashawn Thomas executed a flawless pick-and-roll, culminating in a powerful one-handed dunk by Thomas.

Gray has been a star throughout this year’s TBT, and a big part of his game has been his outside shooting. Leading 52-44 with just over 3 minutes left in the third quarter, Gray took an outlet pass, took a dribble and hit a deep 3-pointer to give the Forever Coogs a double-digit lead.

The Eberlein Drive came storming back late in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit on a short jumper by former Washington star Terrell Brown, who went into the basket to extend the lead to two points.

With this victory, Forever Coogs will advance to the TBT championship match to face the winner of La Familia.Kentucky graduates) and Carmen’s Team (Ohio state (our graduates) are currently working on FS1.
