Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James paid tribute to two NFL legends who were inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend.

James gave shout-outs to wide receiver Andre Johnson and defensive back Julius Peppers on his Instagram story on Sunday.

James shared a photo of Johnson’s inauguration, writing: “Congrats bro! So proud! This is awesome!”

He sent a similar message to Peppers: “Yes sir Pep! Congrats man.”

When Johnson was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022, he said James was one of the first people to message him and tell him about their relationship.

“Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge basketball fan. I’ve had relationships with guys in the NBA, LeBron being one of them,” Johnson said. “I think our relationship grew even more when he was in Miami, and I spent a lot of time there because I’m from Miami, so I spent a lot of time at Heat games when he was there. That’s how our relationship grew… Just for him to come up and congratulate me, he’s a huge football fan, that means a lot to me.”
