Zlatan Ibrahimovic Hilariously Reveals What Position He’ll Play in Baseball

The New York Yankees welcomed a special guest to Yankee Stadium for their game against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night, as Swedish soccer legend Zlatan Ibrahimović visited Yankee Stadium.

Ibrahimović was interviewed on the field by YES Network’s Meredith Marakovits before the game, which was postponed due to poor weather conditions. During their one-on-one interview, the 42-year-old was asked how he thought he would perform on the baseball field and what position he thought he would play.

Ibrahimović said that it was his first time watching a baseball game (neither live nor on television) and therefore it would be a new experience for him.

In classic Zlatan style, with a big smile on his face, he hilariously told Marakovits that his only interest was hitting home runs.

“I think I would be the one hitting a home run. Easy. I would hit a home run every game,” Ibrahimović said.

If there’s one thing Ibrahimović has never lacked, it’s confidence. Despite probably never swinging a baseball bat against live pitching, the Swede has made it clear that if he were in MLB, he’d push the envelope every night.

Ibrahimović also said he has heard stories about Aaron Judge’s strength and size on the court.

“I’ve heard a lot of stories, so I’m excited to meet him. They say he’s my size, even bigger. That’s good, because I’m not used to seeing my size in my world,” she joked.
