In yesterday’s action, Dallas’ Sha’Carri Richardson triumphed in the U.S. women’s 4x100m relay, winning her first Olympic gold medal.

The Midland, Texas native is competing in the men’s 800m. Hoppel advanced from the preliminary heats and semifinals this week. The men’s 800m final is today at 12:05 p.m.

Kevin Durant

The former University of Texas star and NBA champion will be part of the U.S. basketball team that will face France in the Olympic men’s basketball gold medal game at 2:30 p.m.

Alaysha Johnson

Johnson, of Spring, Texas, will compete in the women’s 100 hurdles final at 12:35 p.m. today.

Brittney Griner

Originally from Houston and a Baylor graduate, Griner is a key part of the U.S. women’s basketball team. Griner scored 11 points in their recent win over Nigeria. The U.S. will play France in the gold medal game at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow.

Chika Ogbogu

Ogbogu graduated from Coppell High School and the University of Texas. She plays center for the United States women’s volleyball team, which will face Italy at 6 a.m.
