Bastos is a multiple BJJ World Champion with a 115-12 professional record and in a recent interview with ONE he said that he would never have gotten to where he is now if he hadn’t watched and studied those around him.

“I try to absorb the best from all the people who have been and are in my career. I am shy and quiet but I am a good observer and I always try to absorb the best in people, whether it is hard work, consistency, the way a person behaves or a respectful person,” Bastos said.

This athlete, who lives in Costa Mesa, California, has become such an exemplary model for other female wrestlers that even her rival Kelly could not hide her admiration.

However, this is a much harder task than it sounds on paper. Kelly is determined to prove that she deserves to be the division queen and will stop at nothing to show everyone that her name is among the best in the sport.

Defeating someone with a physique like Bastos would be a good step toward that goal, so fans should expect a great showdown when these two step into the ring at ONE Fight Night 24.
