‘Historic moment’: Bihar Cricket Association president praises Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after budget | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) president Rakesh Tiwari has welcomed Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s announcement in the Union Budget regarding development of sports infrastructure in Bihar. He sees it as a historic moment for the entire sports community of the state.

Tiwari expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Finance Minister, stating that this initiative is an important step towards nurturing the immense sports talent in Bihar.

“I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Finance Minister for the significant investment in sports infrastructure in Budget 2024. This is a historic moment for the entire sports community of the state,” Rakesh Tiwari said, as quoted by IANS.

“Development of new sports facilities is not just a matter of pride but also a major step towards nurturing the immense talent in Bihar. The advanced infrastructure will provide our athletes with the necessary resources to train, compete and excel at national and international levels. This initiative will undoubtedly create a vibrant sports culture in your state,” he added.

Budget 2024 has laid down a number of key initiatives aimed at making Bihar a key driver of ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).

These initiatives include establishing new airports, medical colleges and developing sports infrastructure in the state.

Tiwari emphasised the importance of these developments for cricketers in Bihar and said that the new facilities will offer better training grounds, modern facilities and high-quality infrastructure. He said, “These improvements are vital for cricket, especially for cricket. Our players will now have access to better training grounds, modern facilities and high-quality facilities that are essential for their growth and progress. This announcement is perfectly in line with our vision of taking Bihar cricket to new heights and producing world-class cricketers.”
