Hall took home a bronze medal at last year’s world championships, but he’s hoping he can put together a solid run in Paris.

Michael Norman, the 2022 World Championship gold medalist, is on pace with Hall and gives the U.S. a good shot at two on the podium. Still, Canadian Chris Williams, a two-time NCAA national champion, has been on the fast track this year and could enter the medal discussions.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL QUARTER FINALS

Serbia vs. Australia

  • Time: 5 a.m. ET
  • Where: Bercy Arena (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: peacock

On the women’s side, several second-place teams are advancing to the knockout stages. Serbia, who are in the quarterfinals for the third consecutive time, are aiming to reach the semifinals. They are 2-1 in group play, losing only to Spain in Group A. The Australians also secured their eighth consecutive Olympic quarterfinal berth with a 2-1 opening round finish. Australia have not made the semifinals since 2012.

Spain – Belgium

  • Time: 08:30 Eastern Time
  • Where: Bercy Arena (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: peacock

Spain look like a very dangerous team in Paris. A healthy mix of local and international talent has led the European nation to a 3-0 record to win Group A and advance to the knockout stage for the third tournament in a row. The Spaniards last made the semifinals in 2016, when they won the silver medal. In only their second Olympic appearance, Belgium returned to the quarterfinals once again after sneaking into third place in Group C.

Germany – France

  • Time: 12:00 PM ET
  • Where: Bercy Arena (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: peacock

The host nation looks set to be a formidable opponent. France had a chance to win Group B but a tough battle against Australia left them with only one mark on their record, but they still finished in first place. The French are now aiming for a fourth consecutive Olympic semi-final. In their first Olympic appearance, the Germans showed real grit, winning 2-1 in the opening round and only losing to the USA in a match that was closer than some might have expected.

Nigeria vs. United States

  • Time: 3:30 PM ET
  • Where: Bercy Arena (Paris, France)
  • Channel: USA Network
  • Transfer: FuboTV (Free Trial), Peacock, Sling, DirecTV Streaming

Another year, another Olympics where the Americans looked like a team that could waltz into the gold medal game. Similar to their men’s counterparts, the United States finished the group stage with the most points (276) and the best point differential (+58). With the exception of 1980, the U.S. has never missed the semifinals.

In its first two Olympic appearances, Nigeria failed to advance out of the group stage, but this year’s team showed some strength by beating Australia and Canada to advance to the knockout stage by finishing third in Group B.

MEN’S WATER POLO QUARTER FINALS

  • Where: Aquatic Sports Center (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: FuboTV (Free Trial), Peacock, Sling, DirecTV Streaming

Croatia – Spain (8 a.m., E! Network, FuboTV, Peacock)

After years of being a team that was mixed up in water polo, Spain look like an absolute unit in Paris. They have a perfect 5-0 performance in Group B, scoring the most goals (67) and conceding the fewest (39), and achieving the best goal difference (+28) in the opening round. The Spanish team are aiming for a second consecutive semi-final.

Croatia appeared to be heading into a favorable quarterfinal matchup. However, a disappointing defeat to the United States in the group stage final saw the Croatians finish fourth in Group A. It was a surprise finish in their last four Olympics and they are aiming for their third semifinal appearance.

Greece vs. Serbia (09:35, Peacock)

The rematch of the gold medal match in Tokyo will be held on Wednesday, as Serbia defeated Greece to win its second consecutive gold medal in men’s water polo.

This time around, luck seems to be on the Greeks’ side. The team finished 4-1 at the top of Group A. A win against the Serbs would send the country to the semifinals for only the third time in their history. If you include the time they were part of Yugoslavia, Serbia and Montenergo, Serbia have reached the semifinals in each of the last six Olympics. But this year, they finished fourth in Group B, going just 2-3 in the opening round.

United States and Australia (1 p.m., USA Network, FuboTV, Peacock)

The U.S. returned to the quarterfinals for the 10th time in the last 11 tournaments. It was a tough road for the Americans, who lost tough games to Italy and Greece, but a win over Croatia gave them third place in Group A. They haven’t made the semifinals since their silver medal performance in 2008.

The Australians advanced to the knockout stage for the first time in 12 years. After being eliminated in the opening round at each of the last two Olympics, Australia played in a tough Group B, but settled for second place with a 3-2 score.

Italy – Hungary (14:35, USA Network, FuboTV, Peacock)

This is a heavyweight matchup in the annals of history. Italy are looking to redeem themselves after falling in the quarterfinals in Tokyo and looked good in the group stage, finishing 4-1 to finish second in Group A. Defending bronze medalists Hungary are aiming to return to the semifinals for the fifth time in the last seven Olympics. They finished third in Group B with a 3-2 finish in the opening round.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL SEMI-FINALS

  • Where: South Paris Arena (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: FuboTV (Free Trial), Peacock, Sling, DirecTV Streaming

Poland vs. United States (10 a.m., NBC, FuboTV, Peacock)

For the first time since winning the bronze medal in Rio, the United States has advanced to the final four of men’s volleyball. While this American team has some firepower, no one could have predicted how well they would play. After winning Group C 3-0, they defeated Brazil 2-1 in the quarterfinals to advance to the final four. They are trying to advance to the gold medal match for the first time since winning it all in 2008.

Poland are in the semifinals for the first time since 1980. After five quarterfinal eliminations, Poland swept an unbeaten Slovenia team in the quarterfinals. Poland last made it to the gold medal match in 1976.

Italy – France (2pm, Peacock)

The host nation is hoping to return to the Olympic final. The gold medal-winning team from France has been strong so far in Paris, despite finishing second to Slovenia in Group A. However, they struggled against a tough German team in the quarter-finals, advancing to the final four for only the second time.

Italy are back in the semifinals for the seventh time in the last eight Olympics. They won Group B by going 3-0 in the group stage and then went the distance to beat Japan in the quarterfinals. The Italians are aiming for just the fourth gold medal match in the country’s history.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL QUARTER FINALS

  • Where: Eiffel Tower Stadium (Paris, France)
  • Transfer: FuboTV (Free Trial), Peacock, Sling, DirecTV Streaming

OF MEN

Pablo Herrera Allepuz/Adrian Gavira Collado (ESP) vs. Anders Bernsten Mol/Christian Sandlie Soerum (NOR) (3 pm, Peacock)

Mol and Soerum’s quest to repeat as gold medalists continues. After winning Pool B with a perfect record, they defeated the American duo of Evans and Budinger in the last 16 on Monday. Herrera and Gavira also won 2-0 in their first match in the knockout round and are looking to become the second Spanish team to reach the semifinals.

Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan (QAT) vs. Miles Partain/Andrew Benesh (USA) (4:00 p.m., NBC, FuboTV, Peacock)

Partain and Benesh, the only remaining American team, appeared to have turned things around in their Round of 16 match against the Italians, winning in straight sets. The last time an American team advanced to the Round of 14 was when Todd Rogers and Phil Dalhausser won gold in 2008.

It will be tough for the U.S. because Younousse and Tijan are playing very well. The bronze medalists won their Round of 16 match in straight sets after winning Group A 3-0.

WOMEN

Daniela Alvarez Mendoza/Tania Moreno Matveeva (ESP) – Melissa Humana-Paredes/Brandie Wilkerson (Canada) (11:00, Peacock)

Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson surprised everyone. After sneaking into the elimination stage by winning the Lucky Loser’s match, they swept the American team of Kloth and Nuss to advance to the quarterfinals. No female Canadian team advanced to the semifinals.

Alvarez and Moreno are already making history as the first Spanish women’s team to reach this point, but they are still one win away from a stunning semi-final appearance after an impressive performance in the pool stage.

Ana Patricia Silva Ramos/Eduarda Santos Lisboa (BRA) – Anatasija Samoilova/Tina Graudina (LAT) (12pm, NBC, FuboTV, Peacock)

Silva and Santos are aiming to become the first Brazilian team to advance to the final four since the two duos reached the semi-finals in Rio eight years ago, while Graudina and Samoilova are attempting to reach the semi-finals at a second consecutive Olympics.

Men’s Park Final

  • Time: 11:30 Eastern Time
  • Where: La Concorde (Paris, France)
  • Channel: USA Network
  • Transfer: FuboTV (Free Trial), Peacock, Sling, DirecTV Streaming

While Japan has the upper hand in street racing, the US has a strong chance of taking the podium in the park event.

Although gold medalist Keegan Palmer is back to defend his title, Tate Carew, Gavin Bottger and Tom Schaar will look to paint the podium red, white and blue.

Also on the card is skateboarding legend Andy Macdonald, who will represent Great Britain as the 51-year-old hopes to enjoy what could be his final Olympics.
