Pacific Establishes Casaba Club to Support Men’s and Women’s Basketball Programs

STOCKTON, California – Membership is now open for the newly formed Casaba Club, the support group for the Pacific men’s and women’s basketball programs.

The Casaba Club was the original basketball support group, along with the Quarterback Club in football, the forerunners of the Pacific Athletics Foundation. Membership will provide funding to elevate and sustain championship-caliber NCAA Division I basketball programs and will provide members with exclusive access to coaches and student-athletes.

“I am excited to establish Casaba Club to support our basketball programs and help us with our vision of winning championships. As we strive to establish ourselves at the top of the West Coast Conference, Casaba Club’s investment in our student-athletes, coaches, facilities and our pursuit of championships will be a foundation for sustained success. I look forward to taking action to support our fans, alumni and community on this new path to success,” said athletic director Adam Tschuor.

Membership is $6,000 per year or $500 per month and includes exclusive access to interact with athletes and coaches, including select open workouts, invitations to team events and in-game experiences. It also includes high-quality “Team Only” Casaba Club/Pacific Tigers adidas-branded gear, not available to the public, and first priority on WCC postseason tickets and hotel room access, including the NCAA Tournament.

“The establishment of the Casaba Club demonstrates the dedication of our department and the dedication of our supporters to creating an environment where our student-athletes can thrive,” said men’s basketball head coach Dave Smart. “The Casaba Club will make a significant impact on our program and every dollar raised will go directly to support our student-athletes.”

The Casaba Club will provide assistance to basketball programs in a variety of areas, including the Alston grant, quadrennial overseas tours, enhanced programming, chartered trips and more.

“The Casaba Club sets a new standard for community involvement and support for our student-athletes. It will provide an outlet for the community to directly contribute to our program and be a part of our success. Membership will not only help us in our quest to win championships, but it will also enhance the overall college experience for our student-athletes,” said the women’s basketball head coach Bradley Davis.

Casaba was used to describe a variety of melons commonly found in the area and honors the significant impact these products had on the local community, as well as well-known melon and vegetable producer Don Smith, a longtime Pacific Athletics supporter and former Board member.
