China advances to team table tennis finals in Paris

The Chinese men and women advanced to their respective finals in team table tennis competitions at the Paris Olympics.

In the men’s semi-final match at the South Paris Arena 4, the national team beat host France 3-0, while in the women’s semi-final match, they defeated South Korea by the same score.

Ma Long and Wang Chuqin won the opening men’s doubles match.

They beat the French duo of Simon Gauzy and Alexis Lebrun with sets of 13-11, 11-5, 11-2.

Fan Zhendong then defeated Felix Lebrun 3–1 in a singles match.

Wang defeated Alexis Lebrun 3-1 in her second singles match to give China the win.

China will face Sweden in the final on Friday, while France will face Japan for the bronze medal.

On the women’s side, Chen Meng and Wang Manyu won their first doubles match by defeating Shin Yubin and Jeon Jihee 3-1, while Sun Yingsha and Wang won their singles match by defeating Lee Eunhye and Jeon by two games each, respectively.

Team China will await the winner of the match between Japan and Germany in the final to be played on Saturday night Hong Kong time.
