CINCINNATI – San Francisco Giants left field pitcher Blake Snell allowed no hits in the eighth inning of Friday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.

The reigning NL Cy Young Award winner struck out 10 Reds and drew three walks as the Giants blew a 3-0 lead in eight innings at Great American Ball Park. Snell, 31, threw 108 pitches, 73 of which were strikeouts.

Casey Schmitt and Tyler Fitzgerald hit home runs and Fitzgerald had an RBI double for the Giants in the game, which was delayed an hour due to inclement weather.

Snell came into the game with a 0-3 and 5.10 ERA. He pitched six perfect innings on July 14 before the Twins’ Manuel Margot singled in the seventh inning.
