2024 British Open Championship, Barracuda Championship PGA Tour one-shot fantasy golf picks

PGA Tour one-and-done is a popular fantasy golf game with private one-and-done leagues and public PGA Tour games.

Each week, we present our top golf picks and make one-shot recommendations on the PGA Tour, taking into account past course history and current form.

We continue our 2024 PGA Tour one-off picks this week with the 2024 British Open Championship and Barracuda Championship, and conclude with the 2024 Tour Championship; we’re tracking all of our picks.

Before we get started, if you’re not familiar with the game, read this introduction to the one-shot fantasy golf format and welcome it in. It’s as simple as it sounds, but you need to look at the season from a long-term perspective to understand how to best utilize your players.

This week we have two tournaments, the British Open Championship and the Barracuda Championship, which are jointly organised by the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour.

The Scottish Open will be tough with the potential for bad weather (although last year’s final round was just as great) so it makes sense to try to hedge your selection here.

The Barracuda Championship is a renaming of the Babasol Championship in Kentucky, and to solve this, we can try to select the best players or experienced players from among the young talents.

2024 British Open Championship One and Done picks

  • Scottie Scheffler: How can you not sign the world number 1 if you haven’t already?
  • Bryson DeChambeau: I may have picked DeChambeau at the wrong time, but it’s hard not to use him at this point.
  • Hideki Matsuyama: Matsuyama has been fantastic all year, but on a smaller scale than his better peers.
  • Ludvig Aberg: Ludvig comes out with three great rounds and then struggles on Sunday. That will change, right?

My pick this week is Bryson DeChambeau.

2024 Barracuda Championship One and Done picks

  • Nick Dunlap: Dunlap has gotten his game in order and has gotten used to playing on the PGA Tour.
  • Keith Mitchell: Mitchell has finished in the top 18 in two of his last three games, which is encouraging.
  • Mark Hubbard: Hubbard has been an ATM all year long and has managed to find his footing even in weak areas.
  • Mac Meissner: I continue to recommend Meissner because I think he has the game to compete well at this level.

My pick this week is Nick Dunlap.
