If the situation remains the same, it will be impossible for the match to start. That’s not all, even the final could be postponed to another day.

Especially when the game starts and people are still outside, all sorts of situations can arise. This would definitely infuriate fans outside the stadium as they would not want to miss even a small part of the action they paid thousands of dollars for. Even in the semi-final match between Uruguay and Colombia, a similar incident occurred where fans got into a huge brawl against Darwin Nunez and his team. There was a clear lack of security and large gaps that allowed such incidents to happen in the first place. Whatever the case, CONMEBOL will be questioned for such poor management.
