105 kids complete two-week GCC Cricket Camp

Scores of enthusiastic youngsters aged between six and 16 left a two-week cricket camp held at the Georgetown Cricket Club in Bourda yesterday with newly acquired cricket knowledge and in some cases improved cricket skills.

The 105 children, who had the highest number of participants in the history of the annual summer camp and included girls for the first time, were addressed by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Charles Ramson Jr. at the closing ceremony held at the club.

While congratulating the youngsters for their successful competition in the programme, Ramson also called on the budding cricketers to continue playing the sport regularly and competitively while learning the game step by step.
