Rain disrupts play at ATP Tour National Bank Open in Montreal

MONTREAL (AP) — Rain disrupted play Friday at the National Bank Open, where the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby were heavy.

Thirteen matches have been postponed, including three second-round singles matches that were postponed on Thursday night. The ATP Tour action is scheduled to continue until Monday.

On Thursday afternoon, number one seed Jannik Sinner began his title challenge by defeating Borna Coric 6-2, 6-4 in the second round.

Sinner missed the Olympics due to tonsillitis after losing to Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon. In January, Sinner defeated Medvedev in the Australian Open final for his first Grand Slam title.
