‘Pickleball destination’ in plans for Cincinnati Open campus revamp

MASON, Ohio – New courts and expanded programming at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, home of the Cincinnati Open, could help the Mason tennis complex become a pickleball hub.

A $260 million renovation is underway at the tennis complex, led by Cincinnati Open owner Beemok Capital. When the renovation is complete in 2025, the Lindner Family Tennis Center will have 31 tennis courts and six pickleball courts.

Since tennis courts can be adapted to play pickleball and Beemok Capital plans to book events and tournaments outside of tennis, Warren County Commissioner Dave Young hopes the campus will become “the pickleball destination of the Midwest.”

“We want to be the home of racket sports in the state, and there’s no reason we shouldn’t be,” Beemok Sports & Entertainment President Bob Moran echoed.

The Cincinnati Pickleball Club says there are over 60 places to play, indoors and outside, in Greater Cincinnati. Here’s what to know about the courts coming to Mason in 2025.

Where will pickleball courts go at Cincinnati Open campus?

As part of the complex’s 2025 renovation, six pickleball courts will be installed on campus grounds.

The courts will be located between two new features: A two-story, 56,000-square-foot player clubhouse and an indoor playing facility. The clubhouse will have an outdoor terrace that overlooks the courts, as well as a lounge, restaurant and fitness center for athletes.
