Madden 25 Educational Video Reveals Tons of New Game Features

KRS-One, one of the greatest MCs in hip-hop history, released an album called Edutainment in 1990. The album includes the classic track Loves Gonna Getcha.

EA has channeled the Blastmaster in its latest gameplay reveal. Ahead of the release of EA College Football 25, we saw popular content creator Bordeaux go head-to-head with Michigan Wolverines star and cover athlete Donovan Edwards in a pair of games.

Now, with Madden 25 just under two weeks away from release, EA has chosen another content creator-turned-professional athlete to flesh out the gameplay of its NFL product. Worldwide competitive Madden player and multiple champion Henry Leverette stars as Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons in a pair of games in Madden 25.

The result is a fun and educational tour of Madden 25’s newest features.

KSpade, a member of the Madden development team, provided some technical guidance, and Nick Mijesco, the voice of the Madden Championship Series, hosted the show. In case you missed it, here’s a look at the video.

What We Learned from the Madden 25 Gameplay Walkthrough

I played four games of Madden 25 during a preview in May and got another hands-on opportunity during the closed beta, so I’m pretty familiar with the gameplay overall. But what Leverette and Parsons were playing seemed almost like a retail build, which added another layer to the experience.

While it’s not as open as College Football 25, the speed thresholds won’t be as dramatic, Madden 25’s gameplay seems more open and more fun to control than in years past.

While Juke has been nerfed since last year, new ball-carrier skill moves give talented players even more tools to be creative in the open field. This element is one of the most enjoyable aspects of College Football 25 gameplay, and EA is smart to use this concept with Madden 25. The movement improvements are also notable.

During tackles, various stumble and balance recovery animations add a much-needed sense of variety to every game. On the offensive line, the development team seems to have given players every tool available to read defenses and make appropriate adjustments on the offensive line.

Some things will depend on matchups and ratings, but the hot icon above the heads of unblocked defenders is gold, and you have to wonder if that’s going to be too easy for players – especially when playing against the CPU. One thing that might not be represented enough in the video is that the game is visually prettier than it looks here.

The first thing I noticed during the preview was the explosion in graphics. The visual quality doesn’t shine through in the video, and I believe that’s something fans will see when they get their hands on the game – especially if they can play it in 4K.

As Madden 25’s official August 16 release date approaches, keep an eye out for pre-release info for the game.
