Lyon The first change was made by the referee in the Olympic men’s football semi-final match between Morocco and Spain on Monday.

The match referee, Uzbekistan’s Ilgiz Tantashev, limped off the field 15 minutes after the match started after being brought down by Spanish defender Marc Pubill near midfield.

Pubill appeared to have been pushed by a Moroccan player. He rolled forward and hit Tantashev’s right leg. Play was stopped for several minutes while Tantashev received treatment.

However, the referee was unable to continue and was replaced by Swedish fourth official Glenn Nyberg.
