The golf world will focus on an unexpected destination this summer: France.

The French are not known for their love of golf – a subject I wrote extensively about in the build-up to the 2018 Ryder Cup. See the collection of stories below.

The same course that hosted the Ryder Cup will once again be in the spotlight: the Albatross Course at Le Golf National on the outskirts of Paris. One of the finest tournament venues in all of continental Europe, the course will host men’s and women’s golf during the highly anticipated Summer Olympic Games in August.

To celebrate golf in France, we’ve created a special edition of Golfers’ Choice 2024, ranking the best golf courses in the country according to our community of reviewers. Traditionally, we don’t get many reviews from France. We’ve received less than 100 total reviews in ten years. It’s still worth looking at the data to get an idea of ​​what local golfers like. Each course must receive at least two reviews to qualify. Private clubs were also eligible, which was different to all our other Golfers’ Choice lists.
