Hockey Competition: Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Competition 2022 | Ranchi News

Ranchi: The department of school education and literacy will organise the Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Competition from Monday. The competition will be held at district, state and national levels. The structure includes inter-school competitions at the district level and the winning teams from each category will advance to the state level. The winners at the state level will then represent their states in the national competition. The district-level competition will be held from July 15 to July 20, followed by the state-level competition from July 24 to July 27. The national-level competition will take place in October. While the under-15 and under-17 categories are open to boys, there is a single category for girls under-17. “Our aim is to develop the game of hockey at all levels and encourage healthy competition,” said Dhirsen Soreng, state nodal officer, Khelo Jharkhand.
