The Original Florida Pokers will launch a new youth baseball Development series for Parkland residents on August 26.

Marjory Stoneman Douglas Head Coach and four-time National Coach of the Year Todd Fitz-Gerald and his staff will lead the series, focusing on individual skill development through elite travel ball-style workouts.

“We felt that by developing kids before they get into baseball, we could raise the talent level,” said Lenny Roberts, owner of Original Florida Poker. “We believe that Todd and I and all of our partners can create a better foundation for these kids.”

The event, open to kids ages 7-12, will run through December and is suitable for current travel players, little league players and kids with no experience.

The series costs $175 per month or a one-time payment of $650 for four months. It will be held Mondays from 6 to 8 p.m. at Parkland. Register here .
