Following a 103-86 victory over South Sudan, Steve Kerr’s team wraps up Group C game action against Puerto Rico at 11:15 a.m. ET. With a win, USA Basketball will improve to 3-0 at the 2024 Paris Olympics and secure an automatic berth in the qualifying round, which begins Tuesday.

Puerto Rico is competing in the Olympic Games for the first time since beating USA Basketball 92-73 in the 2004 Athens Olympics, one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history. With the win, Puerto Rico became the first team to beat the Americans since NBA players were allowed to compete for USA Basketball in the Olympics. The only player from that 2004 team still playing for USA Basketball is LeBron James, who is returning to the Olympics for the first time since the 2012 London Olympics.

Puerto Rico’s roster for the Paris Games includes New Orleans Pelicans guard Jose Alvarado, who has averaged 7.1 points for the Pelicans this season.
