~Hockey Haryana beat Hockey Punjab to reach the finals in the Men’s category~

Uttar Pradesh, July 21, 2024: On the sixth day of the 2nd Hockey India Sub Junior Women and Men North Zone Championship 2024, Hockey Haryana, Hockey Chandigarh and Hockey Uttar Pradesh registered victories in the Women’s category while Hockey Haryana secured a place in the Men’s category finals held at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.

In the first match of the day in the women’s category, Hockey Haryana faced Hockey Himachal. Hockey Haryana won the match 2-0. Goal scorers for Hockey Haryana were Manjinder (12′) and Chanchal (35′).

In the second match of the day, Hockey Chandigarh faced Hockey Uttarakhand. Hockey Chandigarh won the match 1-0. Manpreet Kaur (43′) was the lone scorer for Hockey Chandigarh.

In the last match of the day in the women’s category, Uttar Pradesh Hockey faced Hockey Punjab. Uttar Pradesh Hockey won the match 1-0. Akansha Mitra (11′) was the lone goal scorer for Uttar Pradesh Hockey.

Meanwhile, in the Men’s category, Hockey Haryana faced Hockey Punjab in the first Semi-final. Hockey Haryana won the match 2-0. For Hockey Haryana, Sachin (24′, 57′) was the goal scorer.
