The Rugby Football Union has announced that Twickenham will be called the ‘Allianz Stadium’ from September this year following a major deal with the insurance giant.

RFU CEO Bill Sweeney said: “We are really pleased to be investing further in the community and the professional game by expanding our partnership with Allianz. This is an opportunity to celebrate the proud heritage of our stadium and prepare it for the future. This partnership will help us move the game in a direction that serves all rugby, from the minis to the elite, from club coaches to our national coaches and everything in between.”
