Sikandar Raza-led Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to field Shubman Gill’s India in the fifth match of the five-match T20I series at the Harare Sports Club on Sunday. Shubman Gill-led India bounced back in the five-match T20I series after losing the first match by 13 runs. The Blue Men have won the last three matches of the series. They are coming into this match having beaten the hosts by 10 wickets. The Blue Men are in top form at the moment and will start the match as favourites.

Zimbabwe, who won the opening match of the series, could not maintain the momentum they gained in the series.

The home team will be looking forward to finishing the series on top and winning the last match of the series. Speaking at the draw, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza said the pitch at Harare Sports Club has become better.

“We will play a bowl first. The wicket has been better. They will be better when we are in the second innings. The motivation, confidence and skill set is there. Chatara has been rested,” Raza said.

India captain Shubman Gill said that Riyan Parag and Mukesh Kumar have featured in the starting eleven for the Men in Blue.

“We were already thinking of batting first. Our spinners bowled well and the fast bowlers were economical. The players opened up. It’s not easy to play back-to-back matches. There were a few changes. Mukesh Kumar and Parag came in,” Gill said.

India achieved another big victory in the match and completed the series with a 4-1 result.
